About FunkeInnovative SME with a passion for technology
Following its founding in 1974, FUNKE quickly established itself as an expert in industrial shell-and-tube heat exchangers. In the years that followed, this product range was consistently expanded with plate heat exchangers in gasketed and brazed design, air-cooled heat exchangers and electric oil pre-heaters. FUNKE is now one of the few manufacturers worldwide to have such an extensive product portfolio. With subsidiaries with more than 400 employees worldwide and a sales and service network covering the entire globe, FUNKE stands for dynamic growth and presence in international markets.
Environmental policyFUNKE heat exchangers – sustainable, energy-efficient and environmentally conscious
The energy efficiency of industrial heat exchangers has a crucial impact on the energy efficiency of processes and buildings in a large number of industries. With high-efficiency heat exchangers, our customers can realise energy savings by using waste heat, protect the environment from pollution and significantly reduce the energy consumption of ventilation systems.
One of the focuses of our development work is to manufacture quality heat exchangers with maximum efficiency, tailored to the customer’s needs. If heat transfer is more efficient, less ecologically harmful CO2 is emitted to the environment.
We have set ourselves the goal of actively helping to protect the environment. By conserving resources in development and production, sorting waste and observing and implementing energy-saving measures, we are able to produce high-quality heat exchangers in harmony with high standards for environment consciousness and sustainability. Regular analysis, assessment and refinement of all relevant processes ensures that our environmental policy is continuously improved.
Quality means safety. All heat exchangers and electric oil pre-heaters produced by FUNKE undergo final inspection and pressure testing. Further tests are performed in accordance with the applicable regulations and acceptance specifications by inspection agencies such as:
- American Bureau of Shipping (ABS)
- Bureau Veritas (BV)
- Det Norske Veritas (DNV)
- Germanischer Lloyd (GL)
- Lloyd’s Register of Shipping (LRS)
- the German Technical Inspection Association (TÜV) and customer inspection and acceptance specifications.
